The O'Brien RVT Condors will be home for the holidays to greet the Nonnewaug Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully O'Brien RVT focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday.
O'Brien RVT's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Thomaston on the road and fell 75-38.
Despite the loss, O'Brien RVT saw an underclassman step up: Landon Weller scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Suvon Moore, who scored nine points.
Even though Nonnewaug has not done well against Wamogo Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Nonnewaug beat Wamogo Regional by the very same score they won with last week: 70-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Nonnewaug.
O'Brien RVT's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Nonnewaug, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
