Cedar Creek won against Mangham last Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Cougars beat the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cedar Creek pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

Cedar Creek has already played their next contest, a 15-9 loss against Caddo Magnet on the 15th. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Florien on the 15th.
