After flying high against Fort Myers last Tuesday, Charlotte came back down to earth. Charlotte fell 7-3 to the IMG Academy Royal Ascenders on Friday. The Fightin' Tarpons' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Charlotte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Klossner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for IMG Academy Royal, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Charlotte will face off against Bonita Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Charlotte 3.3, Bonita Springs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for IMG Academy Royal, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-6 win against Auburndale on the 28th.
