Alta is 2-0 against Highland since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Alta Hawks will look to defend their home field against the Highland Rams at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alta has three straight wins, Highland has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Alta didn't have too much trouble with Cedar Valley on the road as they won 42-28.
Alta got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Cottis out in front who gained 233 total yards. Kepa Niumeitolu was another key contributor, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Highland ended up a good deal behind East two weeks ago and lost 25-7.
Alta has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Highland, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Everything went Alta's way against Highland when the teams last played back in September as Alta made off with a 34-14 victory. Will Alta repeat their success, or does Highland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
