 In other batting news, Melrose-Mindoro let  Cooper Zeman and  Hailey Hiles loose on the outfield. Zeman  scored five  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances, while  Hiles  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with four  runs and five  RBI. Zeman is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen two or more in the last three games she's  played.  Lauralee Stanton was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 Meanwhile, Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  12-2 to Pepin/Alma.
 Augusta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kadyn Kirkham, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Melrose-Mindoro is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record  this season. As for Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
