Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monahans). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Austin Panthers 70-67. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Loboes as it put an end to their 15-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Monahans' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Austin, they moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lake View the next time they take the court. Austin will head out to face Lake View at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, while Monahans will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
