West Middlesex will challenge Mercer on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. West Middlesex have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Mercer might have their hands full.
West Middlesex put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 28-0 margin over Cambridge Springs. Among those leading the charge for West Middlesex was senior Clayton Parrish, who rushed for 157 yards and 1 touchdown. This marked the 3rd matchup in which Parrish has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Mercer have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game against Saegertown by a conclusive 28-0 score. Mercer were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped West Middlesex to 6-1 and Mercer to 3-4. The West Middlesex defense got after the quarterback against Cambridge Springs to the tune of six sacks, so Mercer's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
