The Tandem Friends Badgers will head out on the road to square off against the Wakefield School Fighting Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tandem Friends has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Veritas School scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, Tandem Friends still came out on top. Tandem Friends skirted past Veritas School 67-64.
Tandem Friends' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sincere ?Sinn? Fordham led the charge by scoring 33 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Fordham has scored at least a third of Tandem Friends' points. Ty Shelton was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Meanwhile, Wakefield School entered their tilt with Shenandoah Valley Academy with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Wakefield School sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-46 win over Shenandoah Valley Academy on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Wakefield School has posted yet this season.
Tandem Friends' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Wakefield School, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Tandem Friends came up short against Wakefield School in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 55-45. Can Tandem Friends avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
