Basketball Recap: Hoehne Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Swink came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Hoehne, but Bobby Terry wouldn't allow it. The Hoehne Farmers were the clear victor by a 69-49 margin over the Swink Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Terry, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 16 points along with seven boards and five steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Nathan Zamora was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Swink's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Cabrera, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Cort Larrew, who went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points.

Hoehne pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Swink, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Hoehne has already played their next match, a 76-40 victory against Rocky Ford on the 4th. As for Swink, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-54 win against Las Animas on the 1st.
