Even though the James River Knights scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Glenvar Highlanders still came out on top. Glenvar took their match against James River 71-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Glenvar.
Glenvar found their leader in underclassman Brody Dawyot, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Dawyot has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Hutchison, who scored 14 points.
Glenvar's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for James River, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Glenvar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-51 win vs. Patrick County on the 12th. James River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
