The Unioto Shermans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Adena with points to spare, taking the game 61-43. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Unioto has managed all season.
Leading Unioto to victory were Blake Fitch and Zeke Schobelock. Fitch scored 13 points along with six assists, while Schobelock scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Fitch also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. K.B. Perkins was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
Adena lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucas King, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The game was King's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joedy Ater, who scored 16 points.
Adena struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Unioto pushed their record up to 2-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Adena, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Unioto won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Jackson is ranked 433rd, while Unioto is ranked 447th). Adena will be home for the holidays to greet Zane Trace at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
