Tulare Union has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Lemoore Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Tulare Union will be strutting in after a win while Lemoore will be coming in after a defeat.
Tulare Union scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 77-69 victory over Tulare Western. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tulare Union can attribute much of their success to Demaje Riley, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Brayden Stevenson, who scored 28 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Riley has scored all season. Damien Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Lemoore suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Hanford by a score of 53-51. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lemoore came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Hanford is ranked 635th).
Tulare Union's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. As for Lemoore, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.
Tulare Union came up short against Lemoore in their previous meeting on January 10th, falling 85-75. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lemoore's Logan Sais, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
