Meanwhile, Calexico Mission's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 60-48 to Julian.
Despite the defeat, Calexico Mission saw an underclassman step up: Leonardo Longino scored 29 points. That was a full 60.4% of Calexico Mission's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Borrego Springs back to even at 8-8. As for Calexico Mission, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
