On Westchester Country Day's side, Crawford Elrod was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Elrod has posted since April 3rd. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashton Pittman, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ricky Velez, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
