Cahokia scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 50-30 to the Maplewood-Richmond Heights Blue Devils. The Comanches were down 38-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Cahokia's loss came despite strong showings from Janylah Holman and Dakota Bell. Holman posted 13 points and five steals, while Bell earned seven points and four steals. Holman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. La'Nilah Riley also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Cahokia and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cahokia will host Granite City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maplewood-Richmond Heights, they will be playing at home against McCluer North at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
