Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Carter Cowboys, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 20-10 to Stephenville on Friday. The low total for Carter limited their streak of high-flying scores to five in a row.
Ryan Gafford was his usual excellent self, rushing for 87 yards and a touchdown. Noah Bullion did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards.
Carter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Stephenville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Carter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stephenville will square off against Celina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
