Edmonds-Woodway has gone 9-1 against Shorecrest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Scots at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Edmonds-Woodway was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Monroe on Wednesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Bearcats. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

William Alseth looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Erik Alsdorf was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Shorecrest had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Cubs 20-14. The Scots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Quinn Burnham, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Gavin Leptich was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Shorecrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Shorecrest pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their record now sits at 7-4.
Edmonds-Woodway was able to grind out a solid win over Shorecrest when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
