Despite the loss, Cape Hatteras had strong showings from Paizley Schultz, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Kylie Philips, who scored 12 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Schultz scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Bryan, who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mattamuskeet's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cape Hatteras, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Mattamuskeet was dealt a bruising 58-12 loss at the hands of Cape Hatteras when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Mattamuskeet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
