Medina Christian Academy lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 67-26 loss at the hands of Brooklyn. Medina Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.
Despite the defeat, Medina Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ashley Conwill dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 42.3% of Medina Christian Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ann Sems, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Oberlin came up short against Clearview on Friday and fell 40-27. Oberlin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Medina Christian Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Oberlin, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home.
