After losing to the Heartland Huskies the last time they met, the Sutton Mustangs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Sutton had just enough and edged Heartland out 44-41.
Cole Baumert was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 17 points. Harrison Herndon was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
The victory got Sutton back to even at 1-1. As for Heartland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sutton will challenge McCool Junction on Friday. As for Heartland, they will head out on the road to face off against Giltner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Giltner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Thursday.
