Bonita Springs entered their tilt with Lely on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 18-7 victory. Considering the Bullsharks have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley Proulx was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Carter Kalina also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bonita Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in seven consecutive contests.

Bonita Springs pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Lely, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonita Springs will venture away from home to square off against Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bullsharks are facing the Sharks at the right time seeing as the Sharks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lely, they will head out on the road to take on Cypress Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
