Basketball Recap: Tocoi Creek Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tocoi Creek entered their tilt with Bartram Trail on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Bartram Trail Bears 55-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Toros also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tocoi Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asiana McCreary, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 18 points and eight rebounds. Those 18 points gave McCreary a new career-high. Audrey Beyer was another key player, going 7 of 16 on her way to 21 points and seven rebounds.

Tocoi Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Bartram Trail still got an impressive performance from Miranda Campos, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubry Davis, who put up six points and five boards.

Tocoi Creek pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Bartram Trail, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.

Tocoi Creek will take on Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. Tocoi Creek is facing Riverside at the right time seeing as Riverside is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bartram Trail, they will face off against Ponte Vedra at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bartram Trail is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
