Volleyball Recap: Clifton Gets the Win

Clifton hadn't done well against Groesbeck recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cubs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Goats. The Cubs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Goats, so the Cubs were just returning the favor.

Brystel Wise paced Clifton's offense, picking up six kills. Wise got some help from Madison Otter and her 13 assists. Scarlett Kennedy controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Clifton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Groesbeck, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Clifton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Riesel on the 14th. As for Groesbeck, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against BVCHEA HomeSchool on the 14th.
