After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Christian, the Orme Warriors were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Leupp Boarding 43-41.
Leading Orme to victory were Owen Rudolph and Preston Tisi. Rudolph dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Tisi dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tisi pulled down eight or more rebounds. Jack Welty was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Orme now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Leupp Boarding, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Orme will head out on the road to take on Caurus Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leupp Boarding will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leupp Boarding in Arizona (Trinity Christian is ranked 78th, while Leupp Boarding is ranked 307th).
