With a playoff win on the line, Oakesdale rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over the Pe Ell Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Nighthawks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Despite the loss, Pe Ell still got an impressive performance from Peyton Zock, who posted eight points in addition to 11 boards and three blocks. Zock has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brookelynn King, who had six points.
Oakesdale's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Pe Ell, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 21-2.
Oakesdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-36 defeat against Neah Bay on the 6th. Pe Ell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
