Johnsburg Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central with a sharp 17-0 win. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by ten runs or more this season.

Nicholas Sauer-Jones and Peyton Lawrence were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Sauer-Jones tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Lawrence tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sauer-Jones has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Sauer-Jones went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Lawrence went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Lawrence a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jeremiah Freebern was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Aaden Sauer-Jones was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Chazy won against Boquet Valley on Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Orange recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Like Johnsburg Central, Chazy also got a great game from a two-way player: Zeke McLennan. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. McLennan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Jack Demers and Aiden Howell did most of the damage at the plate: Demers went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Howell went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Chazy is 4-1 when Howell posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Will Parker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Chazy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.8.
Johnsburg Central's record is now 11-1. As for Chazy, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Johnsburg Central got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Chazy by a conclusive 20-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
