The Tamaqua Blue Raiders pushed their score all the way to 66 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-66 to North Schuylkill. Tamaqua has not had much luck with North Schuylkill recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
It was another big night for Jack Keiter, who scored 31 points along with six rebounds and four steals for North Schuylkill. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keiter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zane Zulkowski, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Tamaqua's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for North Schuylkill, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Tamaqua the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Pottsville at 4:45 p.m. on January 20th. Pottsville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for North Schuylkill, they will head out on the road to square off against Kutztown on Saturday. Kutztown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while North Schuylkill is ranked 288th).
