The Hills Academy Knights will head out on the road to face off against Arlington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hills Academy has eight straight victories, Arlington Christian has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Monday, everything went Hills Academy's way against Covington Academy as Hills Academy made off with a 68-47 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-17.

He went 8 for 13 en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Chezi Essel was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.
Even though they lost, Arlington Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive matches.
Hills Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Arlington Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Hills Academy and Arlington Christian are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Hills Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 61.5 points per game. However, it's not like Arlington Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 62.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Hills Academy suffered a grim 84-58 defeat to Arlington Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Hills Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
