They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Clearwater Central Catholic's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Clearwater Central Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gio Sciandra, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxwell Messa, who scored ten points.
Nickolas Bearden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Shorecrest Prep, scoring 21 points. Bearden hasn't dropped below 15 points for 15 straight games. Another player making a difference was Ahmad Crumity, who scored 11 points.
Clearwater Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Shorecrest Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
