After soaring to 36 points the game before, The Prairie Grove Tigers were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Alma 49-12. Prairie Grove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Daily, who threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Gonzalez, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Prairie Grove's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Alma, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-2.
Prairie Grove will take on Shiloh Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shiloh Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairie Grove in Arkansas (Shiloh Christian is ranked tenth, while Prairie Grove is ranked 82nd). As for Alma, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dardanelle at 7:00 p.m. Dardanelle is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
