Hemingford scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Paxton, 48-18. At the time, the Tigers was ranked 13th in the state, while the Bobcats was 27th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Paxton, who took down 13th ranked Paxton, 48-18. Matthew Wood threw for 115 yards and one touchdown and ran for 45 yards in the win.
Hemingford's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wood has thrown for 756 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Colt Foster has 14 catches for 328 yards. Ethan Skinner leads the league in rushing with 543 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hemingford takes on Morrill. As it stands, Jordan Haas' team is in first, while the Lions are in fifth.
The Bobcats were able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Mike Morland's team. Hemingford came in at 10 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
