Parkview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hillcrest Hornets, falling 14-4. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Vikings' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Parkview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jermaine Townsend, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Townsend brought in this season.

Parkview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Hillcrest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkview will face off against Waynesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.3 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hillcrest, they will challenge Kickapoo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
