San Marcos found their leader in underclassman Jalen Williams, who scored 25 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Derek Tuason was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Mission Hills entered their tilt with Poway with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Mission Hills simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Poway 68-36 on the road. Mission Hills has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.
San Marcos has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Mission Hills, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
