After four games on the road, Wewahitchka is heading back home. They will take on the Jefferson County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Wewahitchka was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Port St. Joe.
Jefferson County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 35-10 walloping at the hands of Wakulla. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Jefferson County has suffered against Wakulla since January 11, 2018.
Wewahitchka bumped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.9 points per game. As for Jefferson County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Wewahitchka couldn't quite finish off Jefferson County in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 24-22. Will Wewahitchka have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
