In what's become a running theme this season, the Archbishop Carroll Lions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Dunbar at home to the tune of 74-33. With Archbishop Carroll ahead 35-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Heidi Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Duncan, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Archbishop Carroll and bumps their season record up to 13-2. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Carroll won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bishop Ireton at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Bishop Ireton will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for Dunbar, they will head out on the road to square off against McKinley Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
