Garber is a perfect 7-0 against Millington since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Dukes are taking a road trip to square off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Garber will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Glenn on Wednesday. The Dukes blew past the Bobcats 12-6.
Ethan Pett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Pett was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Nolan Collins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan Brey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Millington never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Vassar as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on five straight.
The team relied heavily on Logan Myers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Russell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Millington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Millington pushed their record up to 20-7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Garber, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season.
Garber came out on top in a nail-biter against Millington when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dukes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
