Newark had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   2-0  victory over the Somonauk Bobcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Norsemen also won the last time the pair played  back in October of 2024.
 The  win didn't come easy: Somonauk scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20,  25-20.
 Heather Buhle paced Newark's offense, picking up ten kills. Buhle got some help from  Taylor Jeffers and her 14 assists.  Rylie Carlson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Newark's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Somonauk,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 9-3 record.
 Looking ahead, Newark will welcome Sandwich  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Somonauk, they will venture away from home to  take on Dwight  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
