TERRA Environmental had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Varela by a score of 40-30 on Thursday. The victory was just what TERRA Environmental needed coming off of a 52-27 loss in their prior contest.
Shannon Greene continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Angie Barrios, who scored eight points along with four steals.
TERRA Environmental's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Varela, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.
TERRA Environmental won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Florida Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Varela, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hialeah at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hialeah is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
