Linfield Christian has gone a perfect 4-0 against Santa Rosa Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Santa Rosa Academy will be up against a hot Linfield Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Linfield Christian blew past Temecula Valley 10-2 on Saturday. Fans of the Lions have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Celeste Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Linfield Christian got a massive performance out of Caden Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Autumn Cabrera, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Johnson wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Linfield Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Santa Rosa Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakeside on Monday, taking the game 16-12. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.
Kadence Bernard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Bernard was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
In other batting news, Madeleine ?Goose? Hillyer was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. Nyanna Moore was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
The victory got Santa Rosa Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Linfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Everything went Linfield Christian's way against Santa Rosa Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Linfield Christian made off with a 15-8 victory.
