It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Priceville Bulldogs can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Brooks on Friday, falling 70-42. Priceville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.
Brooks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Omar Joyner led the charge by rushing for 320 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.8 yards per carry. Joyner really tore up the turf during one magnificent 91-yard run. Garrett Burrough was another key contributor, rushing for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Priceville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Brooks, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Priceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brooks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Westminster Christian Acadmey at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Westminster Christian Acadmey is ranked 133rd, while Brooks is ranked 135th).
