The Dwight Trojans lost against the Woodland Warriors back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Dwight fell 52-43 to the Warriors. Dwight has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Dwight had strong showings from Conner Telford, who scored 21 points, and Luke Gallet, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals. Gallet is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.
Dwight has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Woodland, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
Dwight will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Wilmington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday. As for Woodland, they will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
