The Griswold Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They secured a 76-70 W over Windham. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Whippets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tahj Jones, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The contest was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Green, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Griswold has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Windham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Griswold won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Haven at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Windham, they will head out on the road to face off against Ledyard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
