The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Cucamonga is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tustin 45-8. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rancho Cucamonga had a senior duo take command as Jacob Chambers threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns and James Strong III gained 144 total yards and two touchdowns. Tyree Wilson also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
Rancho Cucamonga's run defense was locked in: Tustin could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Terence Parsee stood above the rest. He forced one fumble, made five total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended one pass. Rancho Cucamonga's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.95 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 7.23 on average over their last five games.
Meanwhile, Murrieta Valley's offense rose to the challenge against a Sea Kings defense that boasted an average of only 14.91 points allowed on Friday. The Nighthawks put the hurt on Corona del Mar with a sharp 35-14 victory. With the Nighthawks ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Murrieta Valley found their leader in sophomore Ty Isaia, who threw for 150 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 70 yards and one score. Isaia's passing game has become a key predictor of the Nighthawks' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Murrieta Valley's leading receiver Kayden Borden was Isaia's top target yet again, picking up 108 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Murrieta Valley's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Ian Gurrola with two.
Rancho Cucamonga's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points on average over those games. As for Murrieta Valley, their record now sits at 8-3.
