Orion hadn't done well against Riverdale recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Orion Chargers took their contest with ease, bagging a 71-42 win over the Riverdale Rams. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Orion got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddux Arnold out in front who went 7 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points. The dominant performance gave Arnold a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Bainbridge, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Orion's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Riverdale, they moved to 13-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Orion has already played their next game, a 74-33 victory against Knoxville on the 22nd. As for Riverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-37 win against Fulton on the 18th.
