International Prep at Grover is 2-7 against the Kats since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The International Prep at Grover Presidents will be playing at home against the Middle Early College Kats at 6:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: International Prep at Grover has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while the Kats will arrive with three straight wins.
International Prep at Grover's 15-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were dealt a 88-44 loss at the hands of Health Sciences Charter back in January. While losing is never fun, International Prep at Grover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 794th, while the Falcons are ranked 105th).
Meanwhile, even though East scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Middle Early College still came out on top. Middle Early College strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 75-57.
International Prep at Grover dropped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Middle Early College, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
International Prep at Grover barely slipped by the Kats in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 50-49. Does International Prep at Grover have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Kats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
