Basketball Recap: Therrell Sets Scoring Season-High Against Washington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Therrell). They took down the Washington Bulldogs 86-72 on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Therrell to victory were Gordon Davis and Morion Mcwhorter. Davis almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine assists, while Mcwhorter went 10 for 11 en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Mcwhorter continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Woolridge, who posted six points and three steals.

Therrell's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.

Looking ahead, Therrell will challenge Holy Innocents Episcopal at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Holy Innocents Episcopal's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
