Highland is 8-2 against Desert Ridge since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Highland Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Desert Ridge Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Highland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Highland pushed their score all the way to 66 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-66 to Desert Vista. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Tuesday (63), Highland still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ty Crandall, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Reber, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, even though Queen Creek scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Desert Ridge still came out on top. Desert Ridge walked away with a 68-56 victory over Queen Creek.
Highland's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Desert Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Highland took their victory against Desert Ridge when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 68-47. Will Highland repeat their success, or does Desert Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
