It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Lancers 66-40. Royal Palm Beach has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 26 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Royal Palm Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Imanol Cheatham, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cheatham has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Coney, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Leonard still got an impressive performance from Emmanuel Augustin, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Augustin is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lovinske Louis, who scored four points.
Leonard struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Royal Palm Beach racked up 15 assists.
Royal Palm Beach is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Leonard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Royal Palm Beach will square off against Lake Worth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Royal Palm Beach has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three games. Leonard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
