Winfield-Mt. Union will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against English Valleys in at 7:00 PM.
Winfield-Mt. Union had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 28-52 walloping at Springville hands.
Meanwhile, English Valleys took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Twin Cedars 70-6.
English Valleys's lifted them to 1-0 while Winfield-Mt. Union's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if English Valleys can add another positive mark to their record or if Winfield-Mt. Union can shake off the loss and take the spring out of English Valleys's step.
