After flying high against Neshannock  last Friday, South Side came back down to earth. The Rams were beaten by the Laurel Spartans 45-7 on Friday. The  game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
  Kolton Carlson produced another solid  effort picking up 85 receiving yards and two  scores, while also rushing for 128 yards and one  TD on only 12 carries for Laurel. Those  128  rushing yards gave  Carlson a new career-high.  Luca Santini was another key player, throwing for 153 yards and three  touchdowns on only 11 passes.
South Side's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-2. As for Laurel, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
